Alpaca & Shetland Fiber Friends
Alpaca's have recently been added to our three remaining Shetland sheep here at the farm. Laurie Trechsel (Lise Abazs' sister)of Artimista Farm in Rockford MN, is temporarily housing her Alpaca's on our farm as we all learn more about what it will take to run a successful Alpaca operation. We do not know if this will lead to a new twist for our future as well.

The grey one is Daunte, the brown one is Telavi and the small white one is Shallbe. They are getting used to our environment and we are getting used to a very different type of "livestock" then we have had on our farm before. Our sheep pictured here are Nibblet, Wooly & Blackie (Everlasting recently passed away). The spinning machine and loom wait for time to emerge in the coming winter months.
