Colby and Tremayne's play house has been transformed into the Chaletini along the northeast slope of our farm. Round River Farm lies at the end of a steep and rocky dirt road, and the Chaletini rests in the protective grove of evergreen trees and has a view of the Sawmill Dome cliffs and a small cherry grove. Organic vegetables and fruit grow in the surrounding fields and orchards, and goats and sheep pasture can be seen out the upstairs back door. The location will take your breath away! A short walk through the woods brings you to the tranquil beauty of Kangas Lake or the spectacular scenery of the Superior Hiking Trail. Lake Superior, the Baptism River and numerous state parks are a short drive away.

The two story, 8 foot by 8 foot Chaletini was recently insulated and sided. We are in the final stages of putting in a counter with a sink and gas burner along with a chair or couch in the first floor. The upstairs, which you can access with a ladder or an upstairs door, holds a double mattress for sleeping. You can access a small front porch from the upstairs. This three season Chaletini is tini. You will enevitably have dreams of being a little kid once again. A traditional wood-fired Finnish sauna can be enjoyed during your stay. (If we do not have fire danger) The Chaletini has a small DC solar electric system for lighting. (Our original PV panels now 20 years old and still producing at full power) Really tall people may want to choose another sleeping location. Enjoy experiencing a little of an alternative "good life" in this private haven tucked in the hills of the North Shore of Lake Superior.
