Round River Farm teaches classes on the farm that range in age from 3 year olds to 99 year olds. The classes are similar yet tailored to the age and knowledge of the group. Below are some of the class highlights for the different groups. Groups most often donate monies for the classes which helps make the time spent more feasible. We have had groups donate from $35 per tour to $500 for a weekend "program" of activities.
This activity above is designed for pre-school children to go on a simple tour of the farm and circle these sites as they see them. This gives them a basic understanding of the cycles on our farm and makes the tour feel like a treasure hunt. Petting animals and tasting carrots round out their class.
This activity below is designed for high school and adult groups and can last from two to three hours. As you will see it is filled with ice breakers, serious topics, personal realizations through activities like the Environmental Ethics Exercize and ends with play, as it should
